What you can check
For every company: CIN, status (active, strike off, under liquidation, amalgamated), class (private / public / OPC), category, authorised and paid-up capital, date of incorporation, Registrar of Companies, principal business activity and registered office address.
Why check a company?
Before you sign a contract, pay an advance, join as a director or buy shares, confirm the company exists and is active. A struck-off company cannot legally do business.
