Frequently asked questions

What are the GST return due dates?

For monthly filers, GSTR-1 is due on the 11th and GSTR-3B on the 20th of the following month. Quarterly filers under QRMP file GSTR-1 by the 13th and GSTR-3B by the 22nd or 24th after the quarter, depending on the state.

What is the late fee for GST returns?

A daily late fee applies to each return filed late, with caps that depend on the return and turnover, plus interest on tax paid late.

Can I claim input tax credit if my supplier hasn't filed?

Generally no. Credit is allowed when it appears in your GSTR-2B, which is why monthly reconciliation and follow-up with suppliers matter.
