Frequently asked questions
What is the turnover limit for GST registration?
In most states, registration is required when aggregate turnover exceeds ₹40 lakh for suppliers of goods or ₹20 lakh for service providers. The limits are lower in some special-category states, and some businesses must register regardless of turnover.
Is GST registration free?
The government doesn't charge a fee for GST registration. You pay only for professional help if you choose it.
Can I register for GST with a home address?
Yes. A residential address can be the principal place of business if you have proof of address and, if you don't own it, a consent letter from the owner.
