Indian tax help for NRIs in the UAE
Income, property or investments in India while you live in the UAE? A Mumbai Chartered Accountant handles your Indian tax work online, from returns and refunds to property sales and notices.
What UAE-based NRIs should know
- The UAE has no personal income tax, so Indian citizens with Indian income above Rs 15 lakh must check the deemed-residency rule carefully.
- A UAE tax residency certificate helps show you are liable to tax in the UAE and is needed to claim India–UAE treaty benefits.
- Indian rent, NRO interest and capital gains remain taxable in India; refunds of excess TDS need an Indian return.
How we help
- Indian income tax return. Filing your ITR for rent, interest, capital gains or salary earned in India, and claiming refunds of excess TDS.
- Selling property in India. Capital gains computation, lower TDS certificate (Form 128), and Forms 145/146 to send the money abroad.
- Tax notices from India. Reading and replying to income tax and GST notices on your behalf, without you travelling to India.
- Treaty relief (DTAA). Tax residency certificate, Form 10F/41 and the right treaty rate, so you are not taxed twice.
- Bank and investment paperwork. NRE, NRO and FCNR accounts, repatriation limits, and TDS certificates for your Indian investments.
- Companies and startups. Setting up an Indian company, LLP or branch, and yearly ROC and GST compliance for founders living abroad.

Questions people ask
Can I become an Indian tax resident while living in Dubai?
Possibly. An Indian citizen whose Indian income exceeds Rs 15 lakh and who is not liable to tax in another country can be treated as resident (RNOR). A UAE TRC is important evidence.
Do I need to pay tax in India on my UAE salary?
Not if you are a non-resident. India taxes NRIs only on income earned or received in India.
How do I pay your fees from abroad?
We share a fixed quote first. Payment details are shared with the quote.
