Summary
Treasury released draft Corporations Amendment (Proprietary Company Thresholds) Regulations 2026, with comments due by 2 November 2026. A proprietary company would be large if it meets two of three tests: consolidated revenue of A$100 million (now A$50 million), gross assets of A$50 million (now A$25 million) or 100 or more employees, for financial years starting on or after 1 July 2027.
What it means for you
Fewer Australian subsidiaries of Indian groups would have to prepare audited financial and directors' reports, and sustainability reporting thresholds would shift too.
